I registered for this event way before Ramadhan 2016.
PETRONAS Upstream had opened the registration to all with limited numbers of participants, made me want to try it and this time I wanted to challenge myself, can I do it? How far can I push it?
Starting then, I practiced daily. In average 10km a day without paying so much attention on the time. Sometimes, whenever I could, I pushed it more, 20km, 25km.
Life is full of challenge, I had my up and down. I injured myself for these trainings. It felt like my knee-caps were almost burst and that excruciating pain in my feet. It was for real. I took rest days and some suppliments like Chantiva, whey protein and fish-oil. It did help and I continued my trainings. For me, I'd be stupid if I do not training and just simply join the marathon. That is simply a suicide mission.
Till the day of the event, I was still skeptical, "can I do this?"
I just do it! During the running, it was so tiring but I was prepared, physically and mentally. That what the trainings were for. I did it! It took me about 5hours 30minutes to finish the whole full marathon. What an achievement!!!
And now I am training for another marathon.
I am looking forward for a new thing in my life since it keeps me mobile
